Laugh it up. When I first heard the name Vapeccino, I thought it was pretty funny too. Then I visited their website and was pleasantly surprised. The Mate 1, their debut product is a refillable pod mod with some extraordinary features. For starters, it utilizes golden coils. I know right!? Will this become the new “gold standard” in vaping? Let’s look at how Vapeccino is changing the game in a big way…

For a company that nobody has ever heard of, their website is quite impressive. At least the graphics are. The text sounds like it was straight out of Google Translate. Let’s cut them some slack. I’m guessing Vapeccino is from Japan, since their website is available in Japanese. I’m more concerned with the product: The Mate 1.
The device looks a fresh new twist on your modern pod vape. It features an angular design, like the Phix, but with 3 slots for both airflow and e-liquid monitoring. The Mate 1 vibrates when you insert a new pod, runs out of power or has a poor connection. It also features LEDs for battery life indication. There are no buttons anywhere on the device, it’s draw activated, much like many other pod mods.
Let’s talk about one of the most fascinating features on the Mate 1, the golden coils. It uses GCT, aka Golden Core Tech, to provide a “purer taste” and “extended coil longevity” according to Vapeccino. This is the first device I have seen utilizing golden coils. I don’t know if they are pure gold or gold plated but in any case, it sounds intriguing. According to their website, GCT also prevents your juice from gunking up the coil. For heavy vapers like me, I wonder whether they’ll last more than a week.
The Mate 1 uses two different refillable pods. One for chucking clouds and the other for a cigarette-like experience. The battery automatically identifies each pod and adjusts power accordingly. The pods use side-to-bottom airflow to prevent condensation and leakage while maximizing vapor output. They also use organic cotton wicking instead of silica. Now, that’s what I’m talking about!
The Vapeccino Mate 1 is lightweight yet robust at the same time. It appears simple on the outside but is packed with an array of built-in safety features such as short circuit and overload protection. It uses a 410 mAh battery that charges in just 25 minutes! At this point, all I can say is it sounds extremely promising. I’m thrilled to get my hands on one when they’re available. It’s exciting to see companies innovating in this category. These are the type of devices that will help smokers have a smoother transition into vaping. And that, is what I’m all about.
