Can this “copycat” design outperform the original?

All-in-one vape setups work especially well for smokers who are switching to vaping and users who favor a mouth-to-lung vaping style. Smoking Vapor introduced the chic and fashionable Mi-One Kit earlier this year and its tiny size and trendy appearance was an instant hit.

SMOK has since “reinterpreted” this creation with the Priv One Kit released earlier this month. Visually speaking, the kits are very similar, aside from its prominent “mother of pearl” accent panels, taking the place of the “abalone” finish as used in the Mi-One.

SMOK has kept the Mi-One’s squat, rectangular form factor and built in atomizer design but have increased its overall stature considerably. This notable difference, especially in height, is a great adaptation of the Mi-One Kit. Along with an enlarged firing button, the SMOK Priv One is more adaptable for a wider vaping audience.

Imaginatively designed for “on-the-go” vaping, the Priv One Kit is as beautiful as it is sensible.

Given these increased dimensions, it would be fair to assume various other improvements such as an increased battery and e-juice storage capacity. However, unfortunately this is not the case. Whereas the Mi-One conceals a generous 3.5 mL e-liquid reservoir and powerful 1100 mAh battery, the Priv One falls short of this with a 2-mL e-liquid reservoir and a 920 mAh internal battery.

Utilizing the SMOK Stick AIO Core coils rated to 0.6 Ohms, the discreet, built-in atomizer includes excellent top airflow control that delivers massive vapor at lower powers. In addition to this, when used with lower rated coils, the Priv One can reach up to 60-Watts – a combination that allows for excellent flavor.

All things considered, while both kits appear equally matched when it comes to price, power and “prettiness”, it is SMOK’s high-performance coil family that propels it ahead of the Mi-One. Whether this makes it truly “better” on the other hand, is still up for debate.
