Augvape Boreas V2 preview | Beauty and a beast

Augvape Boreas V2 Intro

Boreas is back! And it’s looking better than ever. The original Augvape Boreas first appeared on the scene over a year and a half ago. It was one of those pivotal devices that helped usher in the 24 and 25 mm RTAs that took over 2016.

As with the original Boreas, the v2 is designed for large exotic coil builds for who those who enjoy fogging up a room with their flavor chasing. And now each Boreas V2 can be a short and stout tank with 2.5 mL or a beefy tank at 5 mL capacity.

From what we can tell so far, the Boreas V2 is an exciting new RTA. Here’s a bit more information on it.

Unique Side Airflow

One of the more interesting and notable features of Boreas v2 is the dual-side upwards angled airflow. The dual side air slots are 8.5 mm by 2 mm to feed your coils. The large block Velocity-inspired deck allows angled airflow to hit the coils and then travel up the chamber to the chimney at nominal velocity (or so we’ve heard). Just taking a guess here, but the Boreas V2 looks like it will produce fantastic flavor as well as voluminous clouds.

The post holes are large enough to easily accommodate large, exotic wire such as fused Claptons or Alien coils – which is a must for a tank like this. At 2.5 mm by 1.8 mm diameter, most of the typical exotic builds will fit easily. The surface area of exotic wire would be ideal to showcase the type of airflow and chimney diameter of the Boreas v2. If you’re looking for single-strand builds, maybe look at the Merlin Mini from Augvape.

The Boreas V2 is a flavorful RTA that works in either a 5 mL or a smaller 2.5 mL configuration

With a convertible capacity, Augvape added one more option to the tank. Both 5 mL capacity and the diminutive 2.5 mL dropped-form. Especially in the 2.5 mL size, all the way to the tire inspired Delrin drip tip, I think this RTA looks incredible. Between the aesthetics and the likelihood of powerful performance, I can’t wait to take it for a drive. It’s on our way to us, so we will know very soon if it performs as good as we think it looks.
