The latest IJOY kit comes with voice control! Yes, the IJOY Avenger kit will perform some basic functions without the need for any physical contact. Loyal to IJOY’s tradition, the kit also comes with many color options and a futuristic look to go with its futuristic “AI” functionality. It also comes with two of IJOY’s own 20700s, considered some of the best available 20700s in the market right now.

So what can the IJOY Avenger do? In order to activate voice control, you will just have to say “Hello IJOY” while the device is turned on. Then you will be able to change various power settings, lock or unlock your device and even tweak the lighting to your liking – there is even a romantic light option available. The available voice-activated functions seem limited but with the firmware being upgradeable maybe more commands will be introduced in the future.

The Avenger mod fires up to 234 watts, comes with a center mounted 510 connection, and will be able to fit up to 30 mm diameter tanks. IJOY doesn’t mention which chip is housed in the Avenger mod, but all signs point toward a modified edition of the IWEPAL chip that IJOY is using in the rest of the mods of its PD270 series (Captain, Diamond). If that’s the case, then you should expect a reliable power performance with some underwhelming temperature control, as Anthony’s IJOY Diamond Review explained.

There is some superhero design taking place here, but without the “Avenger” name (and IJOY’s promotion) I wouldn’t have been able to recognize the connection. We recently saw Vaporesso bow to legal pressure and change the name of the Transformer mod to Switcher so with IJOY even including an Iron Man background to one of their product pics, maybe it is a matter of time until they end up making some changes too.

The included tank is the Avenger sub-ohm tank which looks like a shorter, curvier (and sexier) Captain. It holds 3.2 mL of e-liquid that can be extended to 4.7 mL with the included bubble glass. It fits the X3 series coils, also used with the Captain X3 and X3s tanks. Along with the recently introduced wood pulp coils (the X3-C1S and the X3-Mesh), the X3 series now has an RBA deck available. Unfortunately the RBA deck is not included in the package but will be available separately.
