Pros of vaping e-cigs

Staying off the stinkies – Although vaping may look similar to cigarette smoking, they are two entirely different things. Smokers have to walk around all day with that horrible smell while vapers are walking around smelling like cinnamon buns, fruit loops, and cotton candy.

Gaining your health back – Many smokers don’t exercise simply because they are already married to the idea that smoking is unhealthy and working out would just be a waste of time. They become hopeless and fall into a never-ending cycle of obesity, health issues, depression and the worst part of all: smoking.

Feeling better – People who have switched over to vaping can’t stop talking about the pros of vaping such as coughing much less, better skin, less irritable, more energy etc. Other reported benefits of vaping include less nausea, improved circulation and sense of smell/taste.

Saving money – There are many great starter kits these days for under $30 that’ll have you reaping the pros of vaping in no time. Once you shell out enough for a good vape mod and tank, all you need is juice and a new coil head each week.

Here are some of our favorite starter kits available right now.

More variety – One of the greatest pros of vaping is that users can choose their own flavors and styles. There are many different ways to vape, and each device has its own character and personality.

Custom fit – Users can also select the exact nicotine level that they need to help them avoid smoking altogether.

Dry Mouth – Look, it happens (even to people that don’t vape). Drink more water. Just know that vaping goes well with a drinking water. If you don’t drink enough water, you will likely experience dry mouth.

Dizziness – This is also a side effect of smoking cigarettes and is associated with the nicotine content. We know nicotine as a stimulant that has some reported benefits, however it can be dangerous if ingested in high dosages. If you begin to feel flush or dizzy, than you should put that mod down and take a breather.

Allergies – There are thousands of different flavorings that can be used in e-liquid. Some of these may include chocolate, nuts, fruits etc. and may be naturally derived. If so, many vapers may experience a similar allergy to certain juices that contain these substances. In addition, some people may even have an allergic reaction to Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin. In that case, they must find a juice that contains only one of these two ingredients.

Being judged – Even though it has taken off in popularity in the last few years, there are still many people who remain clueless to what vaping is. You might be judged by others in public, but with enough confidence and knowledge, you can convert hardcore smokers into vapers.

Battery safety – Although there is no such thing as a battery specifically made for vaping, there have been incidents of vapers misusing rechargeable batteries which have resulted in injury. Fortunately these instances are rare and can be prevented by educating yourself and others.

Finding the right e-juice – For many people, this has been a make-or-break issue in many success and failure stories. There is an ocean of e-juice out there, and finding the right one(s) can often be a chore. Taste being so subjective, it is difficult to ever really recommend the right juice for someone, but there are some guidelines to help some make better choices. See our article on how to pick the right e-juice.

No combustion – The cannabis or dry herb that you use will not be burned, therefore it won’t contain any of the toxins that are associated with smoking such as tar and carbon monoxide.

Less Odor – Since marijuana vaporizers roast your herb at low temperatures, dry herb vapes create less of a smell than traditional smoking, although no vaporizer is completely odor-free.

Medical cannabis – Many medicinal cannabis patients have switched over to vaping their herb using a herbal vaporizer as recommended by doctors and healthcare professionals.

Less harsh – One of the pros of vaping weed is that it can be a lot less harsh than smoking, especially because many of them allow you to dial in your ideal temperature.

Better flavor – You may notice that the flavor you get from a dry herb vaporizer is very different from smoking herb. You won’t get the taste of lighter fluid or burnt resin. Many people vaporize their buds because they are able to taste the individual flavor profiles and terpenes much better.

More mellow – Vaporizing weed doesn’t have to be as intense as smoking it. With the right strain of cannabis, using a low temperature, you can get a more mellow effect.

Stop and Go – Vaporizing gives the user the option to stop and go during a single session, especially with vaporizers like the Firefly 2 with on-demand heating.

Health Benefits – Vaping is not only becoming the preferred method of using cannabis for medicinal marijuana patients, but for many of the same reasons it’s also becoming widely accepted by recreational cannabis users as well.

Not cheap – Weed vaporizers ain’t cheap! The good news is that they are more efficient than traditional smoking methods, which can save you money on weed in the long run. Nowadays there are actually a few affordable options such as the Black Mamba and Sub Herb Black.

Needs to be plugged in/charged – You may never need a lighter again, but you are not going to be able to use your dry herb vaporizer unless it is plugged in or charged.

Cleaning/maintenance – Unfortunately cleaning and maintaining your weed vaporizer is essential to its performance. Many people don’t want to take the time to clean them, but for those who do, they would stress the point that it is well worth it.

Learning Curve – Many weed vaporizers require a period of learning in which you might not get the best results or end up wasting some material. However, once you do learn the proper way to use your marijuana vaporizer, you will be rocking and rolling in no time!
